The Viair Portable Air Compressor (88P) is MUCH better than your garden variety air compressor, specifically those that plug into a cigarette lighter plug. This compressor sports 12V @ 20 amps of power, producing 1.47 CFM.

Keep in mind that most truck and private vehicles that you are likely to use for towing have tires with PSI ratings between 28-40, so this compact (and very portable) air compressor is great to have for any of your tire issues while on the road. What we like even more about this portable compressor is that instead of hooking up to the cigarette lighters of your vehicle it instead plugs directly to your battery with alligator clips. This means that it can work for your vehicle but it can also work directly off your batteries on your travel trailer or RV.
